Nava Projects is a multidisciplinary and multilingual production studio and financing company. We are a collective of diverse filmmakers and producers who create and facilitate artist-driven narrative and documentary films, series, and commissioned projects from around the world. Nava Projects has produced and financed award-winning works that have screened at festivals such as Sundance, Hot Docs, SXSW, and Karlovy Vary. Our projects have been supported by many selective funds and institutions, including Telefilm Canada, the Sundance Institute, the Doha Film Institute, the Canada Media Fund, the Red Sea Film Institute, the IDFA Bertha Fund, Hot Docs Crosscurrents, the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, the British Film Institute, and many others.

Sahar is an award-winning producer, consultant, and founder of Nava Projects. After starting her career in film at the National Film Board of Canada, Sahar went on to independently produce and finance many award-winning narrative, documentary and commissioned pieces. Sahar is an alumnus of the Berlinale Doc Toolbox, the Hot Docs Accelerator Lab, the BANFF Spark Accelerator, the RIDM Talent Lab, the ACE Mentorship Program, and EAVE.

Yasmine is a line producer and a production business affairs specialist based between Dubai and Toronto.

Amal is a Saudi producer based between Riyadh and Dubai. After starting her career working in film distribution in Los Angeles, she later transitioned into working on Hollywood productions such as LOKI and MISS MARVEL. Amal has experience in short films, television series, corporate ads, music videos and feature films.

Reece is a director and producer of documentary and branded films. A graduate of Contemporary Film at Manchester School of Art, Reece’s work has been broadcast across the globe by well known broadcasters including CBS, A+E networks and Apple TV. Reece’s has several projects currently in development, with projects to be shot in Europe, Africa and Asia. Before moving onto directing, Reece has a history as a 1st AD on branded content and was also a moderator for the Co-Operative Film Festival.
